The monthly deals list is being updated.

New deals post with each monthly update. Until then, these are the deal types worth asking about at any Valley shop.

Deal types

How to pay less in the Valley.

First-time customer offers

The most common deal around. Many shops discount your first order. Always ask before you pay.

Happy hours and early birds

Some shops run time-of-day discounts, often first thing in the morning or on quiet weekday afternoons.

Category days

Rotating daily deals on one product type. Ask what is on the rotation when you visit.

Loyalty programs

Points per dollar that turn into discounts. Worth it at the one or two shops you visit most.

City sales tax

The excise tax is 16% everywhere in Arizona, but city sales tax ranges from 7.8% in Chandler to 9.2% in Glendale.

Bigger sizes

A quarter often costs less per gram than an eighth. Do the math per gram before you buy.

Taxes come after the discount.A deal that looks like 20 percent off still gets the 16% excise tax and city sales tax on top. Run the numbers.

Deals FAQ

Do Phoenix dispensaries have first-time customer deals?

Many do. It is the easiest discount to get, but you usually have to ask. Mention it before you pay.

Are taxes included in the deal price?

Usually not. Discounts typically come off the shelf price, then Arizona's 16% excise tax and city sales tax go on top. Use our tax calculator to see the real total.

Is tax lower in some Valley cities?

Yes. Arizona's 16% excise tax is the same everywhere, but city sales tax differs. Chandler is 7.8%, Scottsdale 8.0%, Tempe 8.1%, Phoenix 9.1% and Glendale 9.2%.
